TIME APART DEFINITELY HELPS A RELATIONSHIP. BUT BE CAUTIOUS TO MUCH TIME APART CAN DESTROY A RELATIONSHIP.

Time apart neither helps nor ruins a relationship--people ruin relationships. If apart you continue to keep in touch, share your feelings and intimate thoughts, and are faithful to each other, then you will have a hunger for each other when you get together. If time apart means less communication, cheating on the other, well, that will be destructive. The main thing is to be clear that it's difficult, but come to an agreement about each other's expectations and honor them.

The old adage states "Absence makes the heart grow fonder". I tend to believe this as long as you or your partner are faithful. If you have a wandering eye, then and only then, is the relationship in jeopardy.

Have a great day!!!

I think it helps. To me, the more time you spend apart just makes you want each other that much more, so when you do see each other again it will be one of those moments like it was when you first got together. Oh, and the sex is way better, lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it depends on what you think the split is for...if you take it as time to think about repairing the relationship or you split and all you do is go out and party or drink or screw around..its all in what you make of the time apart

Either way in different situations, but if you take time and either one of you does something that would ruin it, you probably didn't want it back anyway.

Depends on the reason for the separation? My husband and I did that after 12 years of marriage and it helped us.
