Depends on their attorneys and what they each ask for. It should be 50/50 but more often than not it does not even come close to that.

Aha! now theres a thing! Each case is decided on its individuality! My **** of a nearly ex husband thought he was entitled to 50%, but...heheheheheheheheheheheh as I bought MY house 6 years before I married him, didnt put him on the deeds (mortgage) for another 5 years after that, he has been offered £15,000 instead of the £60,000 that he thought he should get! which makes a HUGE difference as to whether I can stay and keep my home by getting a loan for £15,000 or have to sell and give him money....grrrrrrr it would be cheaper to hire a bloody hitman!

It depends on a LOT of things
Prenup
who brought what into the relationship
who worked, and how much they made
who chose not to work for the family, and how much would they have made if they had been working
How all the assets can be split and how the two people agree to split them

Divorce rate is quite high nowadays..think about 30 - 40- % Ouch!!

depends on the state. Texas and several others is community property so everything is split 50-50 unless you have a pre-nup

What each other earned before cohabitation and wedding, unless they have been together for a long time. Look at the prenupts too.

I don't know what % a husband gets a divorce.
But together its under 45%.
