I really like this. It doesn't glourify what happened and is really well written. There is a book called 'The Photograph' and it is a true story about a girl who goes into hiding and meets Anne Frank would recomed it to you. Also try to use the names of the others 'Behind the bookcase' and by that i mean in hiding would really add to it. Well done you have a gift

The families in the annex had to stay super-quite during the day. Also, everyone was cooped up and under a lot of stress, so there could be some bickering and tension. She "escaped" by writing and daydreaming.

Well she had to be extremely quiet most of the time but her family tried to let her live as normal as possible. She could only do certain things such as listening to the radio. at certain times of the day. She couldn't really even go outside. It was also a little crammped because she had to live with many other people.

Imagin that you have to be with some people you don't like in the small room that you can't do anything to make the loud noise. You can't go anywhere but be in that room. You can't play like other kids. Might help!
