I have struggled with this at times. But, thanks to a friend, I am starting to understand this now.

Right. Lets get this right shall we? The first thing is up to now - you have been learning. Learning not to cross the road before you look both ways - learning how to feed yourself and how to read peoples expression's etc. And no matter how old you are you will still be learning, we never stop. Life isn't all presentations and accolades. Someone has to sit on the side lines and clap as the parade goes by. Think back to a time when you really helped a person - cheered them up or were there for them. What a wonderful feeling that was. Its easy to give of your time your thought and compassion.. harder is to be the one accepting but in such a conspiracy between humans - each person is a necessary part. Just sometimes and I have no idea why - we need to sit on the side lines and let it all pass. It could be we are learning by observation or it could be just that we are having a rest. Make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals - its so easy to over look - and check out the "new" kid on the block - vit D3 - its far more interesting than people thought and not just for brain food but for the correct functioning of so much else as well. 2000 IUs is nothing - but take a supplement and within a week you will be feeling better. And don't forget that you are permitted to lean on friends from time to time - Meaningful things in your life huh.. well - don't undervalue the random smile from the heart at a passing stranger who might be uplifted more than you can know - we can't all invent wheels and things - sometimes the smaller things are just as important and you just never know what life is building up for - look at this time as preparing!!! Go to it. We need you.

I have good self-esteem and I know I'm an asset, but I have not reached my full potential because I really dont know what I was put on this earth to do yet.

That's a true friend. Afterall....we are hardest on ourselves. Sometimes we have to look to our friends to help us see ourselves and to help determine our self worth. What we give to others helps to determine our self worth. So if a friend has helped in showing you this, that says a great deal about what you have given to him or her. I applaud you both. :)

Yes of course. I think its something you'll always strugle with, when you "care" if you a good person and trying to become better. Good Luck on your journey!

yes! thank the lord, yes. it took me a long time but i found my self worth with Jesus. he died for me and everyone else. if he loved and valued us enough to die for us.....we must be worth alot. if everyone knew how precious they are.........they would treat thier selves and others alot better. God bless you all.

Nope. Gen "y" was raised to know their selfworth. (Which could be bad at times too.)
