Parasitic ( flukes, all assorted types of roundworm infestations, dengue fever, yellow fever, malaria)
Chemical pollution caused by dumping chemical into the water supply (mercury poisoning causing blindness, and mental retardation, dioxin poisoning, insecticides causing cancers and birth defects)

There are a host of diseases, viruses and parasitic elements to water pollution.

Giardia, cryptosporidium, e coli, typhus will get you started.
You will see: there are many.

Because of the very high quality of water treatment in this country, none of them are widely found in the US.
