I just downloaded the new version of Itunes and now my party shuffle isn't working. After it plays one song, it won't play the next song on the list; it just stops playing the music. Anybody know how to fix it?

It's not the ipod that's not working......It's my Itunes. The party shuffle on itunes isn't working

All of the songs are checked to play but it still doesn't work. Half the time the song doesn't even finish playing.

If all the songs are checked in the shuffle, you just need to uninstall and reinstall the program.
But it sounds as if the songs are just not checked to play. They all need to checked to play. Look on the left at the little check boxes and see if that helps.
Additional: It sounds like the software just became corrupted. You just need to trash it and re-install the latest version. Just toss the program and not the entire folder. Your songs will stay in the files.
Do a find for Itunes and makes sure you toss just the program and the prefs file.

Are you on a mac or a PC? Some other users are reporting the same problem after upgrading to iTunes 7.0.1. I would take a look at the apple discussion boards to see if anyone has come up with a solution. http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa.
Edit: Try changing the number of recently played songs, it's worked for some people.

Take the iPod, throw it in the trash and buy a Creative Zen.
Problem solved.
