i do believe everyone has a soul mate but i also believe that sometimes we're willing to settle for the first person we can make things work with. so i guess my answer is yes and no... there is only one soul mate but there are others that you can have a fulfilling relationship with.

No. The idea of "the one" presupposes that love is somehow ordained, which I think diminishes the entire notion of love. Real love is built over time through affection, trust and respect.

Moreover, the idea of ordained love doesn't account for how widowed people find love again. If there is a "the one" and he/she dies, how does that square with a happy and fulfilling second marriage?

i used to and hoped but there are so many variables to people and we change so much ithink different people fill different needs for us and i see so many people stay in relationships because they believe that person is the"one" even though it may not be a healthy thing we grasp on to this silly idea and never live up to a full potential of what love is . we get swept of our feet and true love is not easy IT TAKES WORK p.s.
i dont think its a bad thing

No, I don't. I think there's lots of people out there that could be that special someone I could spend the rest of my life with. I just think it's a matter of having the good fortune to run across one of those men's paths, as well as being open to the possibility.

No, I think that most people can make a relationship work if the two of them have enough in common and are willing to stick it out through hard times.

No. I belive there are several, just in case. But once you find the one person for you, then dont keep looking. Cuz I live in California. What if my one person lived in Trinidad? That won't work for me.

I don't know. I haven't found a person for me yet, but I haven't really been actively searching either. Ask me again in a few years.

That depends on how much I've had to drink that night, and if they are going to charge me.
