If it could be made safe where only one vote could be cast per person, should those who wanted to vote online be allowed to do so?

I'd be afraid of people hacking in and changing the outcome of the election. But if, like you hypothesize, it could be made totally safe... Wouldn't that possibly skew the results? I'm assuming that more educated people might have more access to the computer - both knowing how to use them and having access to them. Folks with a lower socio-economic background might not have equal access. Yes ... they would still be able to go to the traditional polling stations, but they wouldn't have as convenient of an access to voting and therefore might be less likely to vote.

So although it seems great to make voting easier for the majority thereby increasing turnout... would the results truely be representative of the country?

Is it really such an inconvenience to have to go 2 miles out of your way and spend 15 minutes at the polls once every 2 years?

No to hackable voting, No to non-paper trail voting machines!

no, if its not important enough for you to make it to the polls, then its your loss. Plus it would be a disaster as people tried to hack in and/or commit other fraud.
