Simple solution: train and arm the teachers, janitors, etc. It stopped the school shootings in Israel.
Ever notice that mass shootings always happen at places where the criminal knows that everyone will be disarmed and helpless? When was the last mass shooting you heard of at a gun shop or a police station?

who in the world would want to hurt a child like this. I cannot imagine how terrified those little girls were. it just goes to show if it can happen in an area that probaly has the lowest crime rate in the nation, it can happen anywhere.I know I am having to be fingerprinted because I deliver bread to schools. this is to be sure who is entering the school. This would not stop a person if they wanted to enter the school w/ a gun. someone could already do damage before they had time to react.
the next step is to have a secure gate with a guard. it is sad, but if that is what it takes to keep my children safe, it has got to be done. Gun control will not work, either because if the bad guys want to get a gun, they will acquire one. Just ask GREAT BRITAIN if gun control works. Their crime rate went up when they attempted this.

the only ask your self approximately it became into that the guy focused an Amish college. They on no account harm each physique, they shop to themselves...why them? As for the actual crime, there are going to be shootings with the quantity of weapons obtainable. all people, even teenagers, can get a gun, everywhere. My question is, why are the shooters white adult males lots of the time? 3 in a week. Un-real. .

There is no way to stop it. If someone wants to kill themselves and others there is little we can do to stop it. It is a sad state of affairs. The same thing happens in Palestine, Iraq and elsewhere where people think they have run out of options or wish to be martyrs. The gunman only killed the girls from what I understand. He had the boys come outside. Who knows what lurks in the heart of some people, or in the dark recesses of their minds. The loss of innocent lives is always heartbreaking. Perhaps we have created a culture of violence through the media, video games and the entertainment industry.

Now do people understand why I don't understand all the vindictive crap that goes on. Everyone that believes in GETTING EVEN should stop and answer this question and read the link that you posted.

People this was a 32 year old sick man. In this case there is really nothing that can be done especially when it is now getting into communities that I personally thought would never have to worry about this. We live in world of horrible sick people. There in the long run is nothing we can really do about it. That is a sad statement but deep down everyone knows it. i don't care what you believe in cause even people who have "jesus in their life" use that as an excuse as a reason why they do crazy things like that too. I think all we can do is just sit back and watch it all come down.

Yes, I read about this earlier. I agree.
What frightens me is that when Amish people snap (or get snapped on), there is something seriously wrong with the world!
Makes me afraid for my children.
There was a story last week, in Chicago, of a 5 year old girl who's mother took her to the dentist to have 2 cavities filled, and a couple hours later, she was in a coma. Now she's dead.
I cry just thinking about it. What can we do?

This is true, it is about half an hour away from where I am right now (Harrisburg Pa).
This world is full of sick people. We need precautions in place because what else is there to stop these people? I used to think a person's own morals would prevent this sort of thing but time again it keeps happening.

This is sick and sad. I just heard about it on CNN. Plus with the other shooting at a high school with that bastard that shot that girl in the head as swat officers stormed to school.

Wow. That is horrible! I didn't think that could even happen! That's why I asked if you were making it up (people do stuff like that sometimes, hope I didn't offend you)
I wish there was a simple solution, but there are just sick and crazy people out there. Maybe it's their parents fault, or maybe it's their own.
I guess the best thing we can do is just try to be the best people and the best parents we can.
