I heard that it is common but is this true. Also, since both my fiancé and I have them, once every few months or more for him and a few times a every few weeks for me or less, does that mean our children will have a bad case of infections too?
Please, no nasty comments. It's part of life.

We haven't had any children yet but I'm just wondering 'what if' in the future.
My finacé is uncircumsied. Would that cause a problem? I think it probably would...

Absolutely. Both my wife and I had it and it is very easy to re-infect each other so both need to be treated at the same time to stop the infection. A good vaginal cream will work on both male & female - use twice a day for a week should clear both.

Don't have sex without a condom until both of your yeast infections have cleared up. Sometimes, putting yogurt on the penis can resolve a minor yeast infection for a male. The acidophilus bacteria in yogurt are friendly bacteria, which help to restore the natural balance of friendly/harmful bacteria. But until you abstain from unprotected sex, you will probably continue to pass the infection back and forth indefinitely.

hey...smiles...since I've been around a while, i can see your problem. i had a girlfriend once who had no idea she had a yeast infection, till i started itching and digging like a bear in a honey nest..lol..yes guys tend to let their girls know that they have a yeast infection, usually, i had the itching feeling. And to sound kinda funny, she had medication that is used for yeast infections, i said let me try some, i did for 3 days, thank god it worked...lol..and we found out it was a chemical in balance that was caused by her eating, she got better eating habits and another thing is cleanliness, i don't mean being dirty, guys hands are a living bacterial ground and you are the host, try having your guy wash his hands with a antibacterial soap first, before love making, and eat some yogurt, that will help. as far as your children, i don't think so we had a boy and he turned out fine, hope this helps.....one more thing, before i forget, have your hunny and you both get treated at the same time...this way you're not passing it back and forth

Trichomonas they share, but men lack the vagina with nice rich, moist, warm environment. If a man gets a yeast infection he need medical help. Was he cultured or had a smear done for Trich?

I wouldn't say it's as natural as men as it is for women. But, women can spread it to their male partners. If you both suffer with this frequently then you should talk to your doctor about things you can do to prevent further infections. A change in diet might work and also eating yogurt, and/or taking acidophilus/multidophilus - which are live and active good bacteria, which in essence fight off the bad stuff.

I would suggest you eat yogurt that specifically says on the label "Live & active cultures".
Another good yogurt product, yet 9 times more healthy, is called "Kefir". I buy it in the refrigerated section in health foods. It is a drinkable yogurt which will greatly cut down on your family's yeast infections.

My male dog had one in his ear. It probably does mean your kid have a heighten risk of infection as well.
