Whoever blantantly believes that lesbians are the majority of the feminist community, read up.
The stigma is so negative but the root of feminism is to achieve equal rights between women and men. Not that they are supposed 'dykes' or man-haters.

well i'll add that i think men believe that we're trying to over throw them so they put down the whole idea that we could even have complete equal rights. A feminist is one who supports EQUALITY. Equality in not only gender but race and ethnicity as well! Come on people.

There are still a lot of people who do not like women standing up for their rights and the rights of all other women.
Equal rights between men and women is still frightening to a lot of people mostly men and they feel the need to be offensive towards women who know what they stand for and who do their best to make chances and opportunities for women better. They are unfortunately to superficial to see that their fears are unnecessary and only show their lack of ability to understand that in order for women to fully develop their potential it's important that they have equal rights as men do.

Some people believe that a woman defines her worth by the type of man she has. A rich and powerful woman doesn't need a man to support her. That scares the beejeebers out of some men. The inherent bias in their favor is eroding. It also scares the beejeebers out of some women who would prefer to have men to the work.
Lesbians don't need men. Some people lump feminism with lesbianism because a straight woman with money doesn't need a man either.
I don't know how old you are, but it does the heart of an old (straight ) feminist good to read a question like this. I want to scream when I see young women making Paris Hilton a role model.

I accept as true with what you assert, human beings argue for equality, nicely it would not in simple terms mean interior the so referred to as 'solid issues', yet additionally the 'unfavorable' the thought feminism and lesbians circulate collectively hinges around the assumption of lesbian women being agressive and crammed with hate in the direction of adult men. of course, as with maximum stereotypes it rather is genuine of a few Lesbian women, yet if truth be told it is not what makes a woman a lesbian!

Feminists are not men-haters, many of them ARE men. We just don't want to be treated like toys, slaves and possessions. We feel we are entitled to the same rights as men enjoy. Equal opportunity, equal rights and so on.
Men with fragile egos and doubts about their own masculinity use these type of labels to make themselves feel more important and manly. Doesn't work, baby.

Maybe it's because lesbians are braking the mold of gender roles and are therefor considered feminists. Add that to a male centered society that has a lesbian fetish and you get your "all feminists are lesbians" delusion.

Radical lesbians hijacked the feminist movement early on.
If you wanted equality, why did you side with the Democrats who sponsored "Affirmative Action" , making you an officially oppressed minority "entitled" to preferences?
Your "question" smacks of left wing logic, that is to say, illogic.

Because they are idiots. They do not understand that men too can be feminists. These are also the same people that think that feminists want to rule the world and blah blah blah. All a feminist wants is equality.

Like it or not, the lesbians hijacked that cause long ago. They told mothers and homemakers to leave the home and find careers. Great idea. Now everybody is miserable. Most feminists are men-haters at minimum. And if you're a man-hater, you're not to far from being a woman-lover aka Lesbo.

Reason is that most feminists hate men. To men, hating men=liking women. Of course, that leap is because of some pre-wired fantasy of two women going at it. And therefore, you get the conclusion feminist = lesbian.
