the aerial depends on the reception. You just may have bad reception. If you are near your tv i.e. your computer is the lounge or somewhere, use an extension to connect your arieal cable onto a plug that also goes into your tv.
Some tv cards though are real **************************, because they have these non scart holes and scarts are bette than the non scarts. If your tv card does not have a scart plug look to see if the yellow, red or white plug holes are 'av-ins' or something. If not ur outta luck. But if they are for some magical reason, you can use one of those yellow, red, white plugs thingys with a scart head that will plug into a reciever/tv/tape recorder/dvd player/dvd recorder that has an av-out thingy at the back.

Good luck, you will need it.

You will need a Digital coax cable - not just a regular TV Ariel coax cable.
With digital coax, the central wire is sheathed in a honeycomb type plastic, this is then wrapped in a foil type outer layer, followed by the outer plastic cover.
The central wire goes into the centre pin of the plug, with the foil being wrapped around the outer part of the plug.
I hope this helps.

The tv ariel should work on a tv card. If it doesnt there might be a problem with the card. Troubleshoot the card or email the manufacturer and ask for advice.

you need to check if you are getting no signal or the software is not even trying.
If you get no signal, then it could be reception such as the ariel or TV signal type such as PAL, NTSC, SECAM,.
Good thing to try is connect your VCR to it as you then know the signal is good, then search for it using the correct TV format.
