It depends on the age of the child and the circumstances behind the crime. If a child is convicted of a capital crime they can only be held until they turn 21. My feeling is if a child commits a crime such as murder, exp: school shootings, then place him into a juvenile facility until they turn 21. After that send them to a regular prison for the terms of what an adult would normally get short of the death penalty. No more getting out after a few years or less. Thats nothing but a slap on the wrist. Also once they are transfered to an adult facility their juvenile records become part of their records. But only for those involved in such cases.

It all depends on the age, and state of mind of the child. If the child is a teenager than usually yes they should be. If the child is under the age of 10 than they may not have understood what happened.

In most states there is capital punishment and murder is a capital crime. I do not belive we should be thinking about executing anyone , much less children. It is not unthinkable that a misguided 12 year old kill someone and while he should be put away for a long time I can not agree that he should be put in prison for life or killed.

It depends how old they are. If a five year old killed someone then absolutely not! However, if the kid is over 12 then probably unless there is some special circumstance

It depends on the circumstances. There has been a rash of young punks beating homeless people to death. YES, they should be tried as adults. But, if a kid is defending him/her self from a predator, he/she should be given a medal of honor.
