i think the question really is... how are you spending your time right now? because you could die any minute from a simple mistake or accident, and that'd be the end of your life. so... right now, are you doing what you love, have you made efforts to resolve your relationships and are you happy? do you feel free?

I faced that dilemma several years ago and didn't react well.

My initial reaction was that there were a myriad of experiences that I wouldn't be able to enjoy any more.

My next reaction was that I needed to fit in as many new experiences as I could in a short amount of time.

However, after I settled down and resigned myself to the situation, I finally realized that I had enjoyed a good life and more than enough pleasant experiences. I also realized that even though I never achieved everything that I had set out to do, I had enjoyed life's journey and was proud of what I had accomplished along the way.

So, after that realization, I was content with enjoying the little things that make up an average day.

Fortunately, I survived that scare, but now I know how to react when the inevitable occurs.

"Interesting twomoonjunction1980; however, I've reached an age where I'm gonna die soon. It's not too different than how I've lived for the last 15 years or so. I want to continue striving to be happy and make a small contribution to mankind in the time I have left."

I would live in a brand-new upscale condo on the beach with a Maine Coone and a Burmese for company. I would eat rib-eye and drink Manischewitz everyday while watching satellite channels on my big screen TV.

Tough one. I'm torn between whether to be a complete jack@*** and say something ridiculous, or actually answer the question.

I'll give you both versions.

1. I'd liquidate my savings, buy a whole crapload of coke, meth, weed, E, shrooms, ketamine, painkillers, xanax, booze, and heroin and do em all at once till my brain exploded.

2. I'd sit down with my parents, family, friends, and lover and tell them how much they all mean to me and thank them for their care and guidance. I'd write down my last words and mail them to the people I thought would need to hear them, and then they'd arrive after I was gone.

I would have all the fun I could. I would travel the world and expand my horizons as far as they would go. I would also record a CD so my family and friends could remember me. Music is something very special to me and I would want to be remembered as a musical person.

I'd leave town and probably not come back, so long as I could bring my husband with me. There are too many places I want to visit.

I would be taking care of loose ends in paperwork so to not leave a mess for my family...

I would write everything down for them to find all the money that I have in numerous areas.

I would clean out crap of mine that no one else would want so the family wouldn't have to do it. ((clothes, nicnacs, crafty items etc...))

I would write a letter to my family and friends telling them how much they meant to me and thanks for being in my life.

I would go away gracefully being thankful for what I got to experience !
