im not quite sure exactly how it goes and I dont know if ONLY cities are mentioned. the only city i remember that was said in the song was albequerque. I also remeber hearing the song (or some form of it) on a simpsons episode. the song has upbeat vocals and a hook that i don't remember

It doesn't sound like the johnny cash and route 66 songs i've been told though. I heard it a few weeks ago on a friend's ipod, but i forgot the artist and title. I'm dying to find out what this song is.

Do you mean the song that goes "I went from Phoenix, Arizona all the way to Tacoma, Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A."? If so, it's "Rock 'n me" by Steve Miller.

Could also be Huey Lewis and the News with The Heart of Rock and Roll, but probably Route 66 by Nat King Cole, but I found quite the list of covers of this song. Hope this helps.

the song title is I've Been Everywhere. Its an old country song and most recently used in hotel ads with Johnny Cash's version.I remember hearing this song in the late 60's and early 70's.

Johnny Cash did a song years ago called "I've been Everywhere". In this song the city names are called out much like and auctioneer would call out bids. Many commercials duplicate this song.

Maybe this is the on you are talking about.

I think you are referring to Route 66 - don't know the artist though... But it does mention a variety of U.S cities... Missouri, down to St. Louis, Oklahoma City look oh so pretty...
