I think you mean html. HTML is like a webpage like when you make something in notepad and save it as soandso.html. With that you'll end up with a webpage like this web page your viewing right now is an html document.

HTML is HyperText Markup Language
IT is the basic building block for making websites.
you dont need to know it, but its a good idea to at least have a basic understanding
