does anyone know where i can buy parts[used] such as the upper and lower racks.they are very expensive to buy new and cost more than the dishwasher is worth.thanks, i live in buffalo new york area

I would call second hand appliance places and see if you can buy a used one (from another Kitchenaid dishwasher -that is in better shape than yours.)
I have a kitchen aid DW, sorry, but I'm not finished with it.

Check out repairclinic.com - they have everything I've ever looked for. Saved me a bunch of money from reapairman costs, I work cheap ;-)
