Barry Bonds walked out in the 6th inning of last night's game, cleaned out his locker, and took his name plate.

so... i dont know about breaking the record.

Roger Clemens is now being accused as well about the whole steroid thing....

the others... i dont know enough about to answer

That chick is funny!!! "With steroids, who wouldn't?" Um... well how about EVERY SINGLE PLAYER that has tested positive for steroid use? I don't think ANY of them are evn close.

Oh, yeah Raphael Palmeiro had waht... 699 home runs when he was caught?

OK.... now to answer your questions.

Bonds? Yes he will. He'll be back now that Pettite, Clemens, and Tejada are gonna take the heat off him. Plus, Bonds led the league in on base percentage AGAIN, and his numbers were solid enough. Heck, once his knees got healthy he was swinging the bat pretty well again.

Howard, Ortiz, or Pujols? Howard and Pujols may have a shot. Ortiz? Nope... he DHs and with interleague play, he just won't get enough at bats to break 70.

Reyes? HA!!! Not a chance. Nobody will EVER touch Rickey's 130.

Clemens coming back? What to face performance enhancer questions? Not a chance!!! The man brely pitched a half season THIS year... and now he's gonna come back and deal with reporters asking questions everyday? Um.... NO

Cubs get to a World Series? Not with the talent on their roster and in their minor leagues. They put too many eggs in the Prior/Wood basket.

Yes, unfortunately BB will break the record. He may be on the juice, but he is still a great hitter.

The single season HR record is safe for a while. 73 HR in a season is crazy. Howard, Ortiz, Poo hole are all sweet hitters, but will never hit 74.

Reyes is sweet but will be hard to reach Ricky Henderson's modern day era record of 130. If Reyes becomes more patient at the plate and can draw more BB's he'll have a chance to steal a base everytime he's on first. Great great player.

RC should hang em up, unless he goes back to NYY!

The Cubbies might get to a WS in our lifetime, but not win it. The NL is terrible. I know everything is cyclical, but this cycle will skip the Cubs.

Ummm, poor team chemistry and lack of pitching happened to the RS. Also a 5 game sweep by the NYY didn't help...

Bonds if he stays healthy will pass this record and if he is able to stay playing. Who knows what the grand jury will decide!

The season was officially over yesterday so the stat's are now what they will be.

Roger Clemens should come back only if he feels he can help a club. He is the greatest pitcher of all time? right!

Those poor Cubbies. No don't think so!

Red Sox they had their day. They need to rebuild.
