ATM I have a tattered leather type slip cover ( I have cat who LOVES leather)

I want to make a new slip cover, I was thinking of taking a sheet and laying it over and tucking in . I have a tiny starter sewing machine but really am not good. Any ideas for making a decent low cost slip cover? I have a sectional in 3 peices and the one on it doesn't fit well anyway.

Wha i thought of doing was doing seat pillows separate in a smaller sheet (maybe cut it up so it fits and use hot glue gun on bottom) then do the whole thing separate.

Thanks in advance

First, how bad is the cushions where u sit down. U might have to get some more batting to make them comfortable to sit on. Its a good idea to take the sheet to make the cushions but maybe try and get some material. Not all material is expensive.Try Wal-Mart section or go to the fabric store(most times sales.) But whatever u choose hear goes. Get a staple gun, nails/tacks or a hammer( glue will not last). Wrap the material tight enough . Use the staple gun or the tack method. Put them where it will stay and not notice. And for pillow cushions , basic make a seam on 3 sides, slip in old cushion or with batting and simply sew enclosure. Can't get to machine ..hand sew it close(if u cannot put a zipper on it). Good luck.
