why do i not have any sound coming out of my pc?

Did you install the drivers? are the connections in the right order? Are you sure your motherboard has onboard sound or you have a sound card in the right slot (PCI)?

well.. we need more details, because a problem like this may have many solutions, but most likely.. you need to install the sound driver. so install it, and then it should work.
