in plain english.
a Philosophy is the personal view of a philosopher thus also a memoir on his thoughts and feelings.
If you ever want to understand Nietzsche try reading him back to forth. By that I mean the chronology of his books. In his last book Ecce Homo He pretty much provides a manual on how to read the rest. And believe me his very first, also sprach zarathustra, is best left for last it's a book that isn't easy to digest.

Not sure you're going to get meaningful interpretations of Nietzsche (check your spelling) on Yahoo! Answers, but here's my attempt:

Nietzsche's penchant for paradox and aphorism often makes interpretation of a single statement difficult without a contextual grasp of his other statements along the same argument.

That being said, with this statement Nietzsche is seeking to re-contextualize various philosophies as statements from the individual rather than as timeless icons.

He is implying that the individual's historical context will have as much to do with shaping his philosophical premise and conclusion as any larger, sweeping understanding or epistemology the philosopher may be seeking to elucidate.

The positive side of this may be that, to best understand and interpret a philosophical statement, one must also integrate the philosopher's worldview, history and life into one's interpretation.

However, the obvious negative implication is to demean attempts at universal, timeless philosophical statements as simply attempts to extrapolate personal "confession" and "memoir" into a larger worldview that applies to others outside the individual making the statement.

Hope this helps.

I have a neitzsche book and can't find it [moved and have to unpack] but i would think it to mean that you are bearing your soul to evenone when confessing anything and not even knowing how it's being interpreted in other's eyes [ergo unconsciously]. By philosophizing, you are telling everyone what you are all about.... your thoughts, dreams, expectations and YOUR interpretations of the world and it's people. You are revealing your own soul.
