The only species that survive in the long term are the ones that survive in the LONG TERM. The simple words "losers" and "winners" suggests that you believe in the competitive way of life within our own species. This only leads to overconsumption, redundancy and waste of resources that our children will need to survive changes in the environment.
Either we survive as a species, or we don't. In the meantime, the idea of competition creating winners is out of place. What really happens is that a system of competition forces more people into the middle of the bell curve which 'fits' the societal environment, devaluing the fringe of the curve.
I know this is hard to see as a problem, but you have to remember that the environment ALWAYS changes, and the fringe is necessary for the diversity of the species and the survival in the long term.
Any system which devalues the fringe cuts its own future out of existence.

How can you elevate losers when by definition they would have no power since they lost? The winners get picked on because they are the ones who have to answer as to how they use the power they won. No, the system won't be destroyed, a much brighter soul than I once said "Democracy is messy"

This system that would be destroyed - was a winner Ken Lay and his buddy Fastow? THe ones who laughed together watching forest fires burn out of control in CA because they'd manipulated the energy supply? Are those guys the winners, the ones who cost CA residents BILLIONS of dollars?

As my 9 year old son just said, a friend of the people respects FREE ENTERPRISE and wants to stop the capitalists from distorting the system and stealing the wealth from those without whom it cannot be created. (but we homeschool....)

Precisely! It is hard to believe but I have come to see that destroying the system is exactly what they want.

Because THEY are loosers. They want the system destroyed, so they can establish their commie/socialist state.
