They've probably really fell hard for a few women in their lives who either (a) didn't reciprocate or (b) cheated on them.

Having one or more very bad experiences in relationships with women can create resentment or even hatred in some men. It is not fair to label all women a certain way, based just on one or two bad experiences, but it is human nature to do so. Having said that, the old adage is true: once bitten, twice shy.

It's not just men towards women, but the opposite as well.

It could be the way a person was raised by Mom or Dad. It could be that a realtionship they had with someone went very wrong and they carry the resentment.

If your in a relationship with someone who feels this way- you just need to show them they can trust you and depend on you.

Some type of breakdown in the reltionship with his mother, fear of rejection/fear of intimacy issues, or the projection of his own insecurities onto women in general.
Maybe he felt rejected by his mother. Maybe a rejection from one or several women altered his self-perception, thus creating a 'filter' that distorts his reality.
If he refers to "women this, women that" as if all women came from the same place, had the same upbringing, and want the same things, he is not only overgeneralizing, but he is an ignorant fool.
There is something he is doing to become attracted to certain types of women, or certain behaviors that women react to similarly. It is something that is self-fulfilling. It's about him, though he would rather project it on women, than to own up to that fact.

Well I think it can be many things, but for me , if a woman cheated on me , and then lied to me even after she knew that I knew , that would make me hate her. To hate women in general , I think it would start from his relationship with his mother and or sisters. If he had no respect for his mother or sisters , it could easily turn into hatred for women in general.

The inability to understand women can lead to extreme confusion... then the confusion can drive them nuts... & that can cause them to hate the one who causes the confusion/insanity.

It probably has to do with the relationship he had with his mother, sister, teachers. It begins in childhood and childhood experiences. If is due to adult experiences it would be short lived.
