of accident proetection and this one car rear ends another? Well, car #1(the driver) puts on his brakes -because you can hear them squealing - but the wheels of the car keep moving? Is this something I wasn't supposed to notice or do cars really do this? If cars do this -then why? Don't the brakes stop the car?

It's a TV commercial, like a movie everything you see is not always real.

I haven't seen the ad, but I can promise you that brakes don't always stop the car!!! This is probably the top of the list of reasons why accidents happen - not the cause of them, but if brakes stopped the car every time, then most accidents would never happen.

That squealing noise was added for dramatization. That car had ABS which means that the wheels don't lock up. When the wheels lock up, you lose braking power (even thought it sounds weird) and you lose control of the wheels that are sliding. A car with ABS does not squeal because the wheels don't lock up.

Its probably an abs (antilock brake stop). The tires won't lock up but rather pulse, like stepping on and off the brake pedal serveral times. Then again i havent seen the commercial yet and you can't believe everything you see on tv....

Agreed. could not spend any significant time with somebody stoked over spending $4 hundred on their nametag, yet a short term coverage with finished coverage for me- ought to be constructive.

Maybe they have spinners on the car? If that is the case then yeah they will keep turning.
