First of all, abortion has nothing to do with kids five and older.
What abortion is about is deciding when the "potential abortee" might/should/will obtain the right to be free from the deliberate termination of it's life by another.
It's not about when "life" begins, because it doesn't. Life is a continuum that ENDS in specific organisms, but has no discernable beginning. Dead chickens don't lay eggs.
It's not, as pro-life people seem to claim, "murder", because the very question the argument seeks to settle is "WHEN is it murder?"
That's a matter of what the statutes say. It is not up to the courts to decide that, and it is not a federal question at all (yes, that's right - the USSC was wrong on Roe V. Wade when they declared that they had jurisdiction).
What happens post-partum is totally irrelevant. Killing those who have been born is clearly murder, but has nothing to do with whether or not the fetus has a right to exist.
Viability is subjective, and contingent on a lot of external factors. Even a two year old is non-viable if no one feeds it.
It's simply a matter of whether or not this unborn is a "person" under the law, and thus entitled to the same protection from violence as anyone.

Isn't it sad. I know of people who have wanted to adopt, been contacted by an agency, went to the hospital to be at the birth, and then when the baby is born "non-white" they "pass". It's is sort of like something I saw at a Women of Faith conference, they were doing a charity push where you "adopt" a child in some 3rd world African nation and send money every month...All these women were flocked around the table looking through pictures to find a girl or a baby or the cutest one...Why? Why even choose how about picking the first child and doing it for no other reason then to just help? How about when these kids who have spent years "in the system", finally "age out" and are just put out into the world? And then people wonder why they turn to drugs, violence and end up on welfare. I realize everybody has choices but when you have absolutely no role models or support...

The people who adopt newborns do not know that these baby's
are going to grow up to older than 5 and will know who are these people and may not be normal.( Somebody will tell tat his patents

They should put them up for adoption when they have them, not wait till they screw them up. Also if the laws were not so in favor of biological parents (no matter how bad they are), people wouldn't be so afraid to adopt older children.
It actually takes just as long to adopt an older child and it is a more difficult process in many ways. There are not a lot waiting for adoption. They are kept in the foster system because they aren't eligible for adoption because the parents won't give them up even though they don't want to take care of them and they don't have to. Or the foster parent raises a child without adopting them because if they did the child would have no health benefits (some insurances actually will not cover your legally adopted children and most states don't have laws to make them). So it isn't that the children don't find homes where they are cared for.

Where are all these orphans, you speak of? Do you know how hard it is to adopt a child of any age?

Yes, all ProLifers should be required to adopt a child. but by that same rationale abortion should be illegal in all cases.
