Email Tracking!?

Question

I want to know how I could track someone's emails...can anyone assit me?! And could someone tell me, or give me pointers on how to keep someone from tracking my emails? Thanks!

There is no such thing. This idea has been propagated by emails that lead you to believe you will get money from Microsoft and/or AT&T but has no basis in reality. It has evolved into a myth all on it's own but the fact of the matter is, noone can track anyone else's emails. It is a falicy.
While the links below deal with other topics, they clearly state that no such tracking is possible. Snopes.com is the definative source on urban legends in all aspects of society- especially the internet. If you come across something in an email that sounds kinda off or too good to be true- I encourage you to cross reference it with Snopes. You'd be surprised how much garbage we buy just because it's in an email and the author sounds as if they speak with authority.

Well, there are a couple different ways depending on the systems in place. Basically, if it is a form of web-mail, it is very difficult to track unless you hack their account. If you are some sort of administrator using Lotus Notes or MS Exchange, then you can track e-mail's through the administrative tools built in to these application. As for blocking the tracking of your e-mails, using a web-based e-mail client would be your best bet.

what do you mean by track someones email? you can't track anyone's e-mail, and no one can track yours.
