The Libertarian Party is probably your best bet for trying to recoup some of the many freedoms the Republicans and Democrats have sold out from under us.

And, you might consider moving to New Hampshire -- the Libertarians are devising a plan that ultimately involves a mass exodus to NH, then seceding from the United States.

unfortunately, under the 2 party system, anybody who steps outside of the box is not taken seriously. since both parties are essentially not very different from one another, it creates a stifling political climate, and it means that many really great solutions to the problems faced by Americans go totally unheeded and ignored. this is why people refer to the Bush "regime"; because how can there truly be free speech and free thought within such limited confines? End the 2 party system, I don't care how wild the other parties are, just as long as there is room within them for the concerns of ordinary Americans! Make politics about helping the citizenry instead of distracting them from real problems or telling them there are no solutions to their problems!

All of the other parties, however if you belong to one of them you don't get to vote in the primaries where the two are either Dem or Rep. so you wind up voting for the lesser of two evils but even then the lesser always loses. Except when Clinton won & would have swept Bush again if allowed to run for a third term.

The Libertarian party.

Its a change from the corrupt political parties but without the tin foil hat stigma attached to other third party or independent candidates.

Libertarian!

I've gotten fed up with both the D&R's, which are basically the same in how they actually vote, even though the campain speeches look otherwise.

Although I didn't support him, look at the treatment Ralph Nader received by the media.
