I have a level 30 alt lock and I think I am liking his gameplay style so much more than my lvl 60 warrior because of the variety and pet options. Seems that Voidwalker can replace other tanks if you are class fullblown demonology and I have heard that Warlocks mastering demonology are way too powerful so is the question I ask true? Are Demonology Warlocks the most powerful class in the game ?

Warlocks are an awesome class, and played well, they can pwn almost anyone. That said, they can also be pwned pretty easily by a player that knows what he's doing. All three trees are a viable choice. I went destruction with my lock (60), and love it. I'm up with the mages, most instances, in damage done, not counting my pet. I've had afflicition locks kick my 60 hunter's butt a couple times, and a few demonologists, too.

I don't think there is one class/tree that's the most powerful, all in all, it's more about the players.

They are indeed a very powerful class. In PvP, they are a force to be reckoned with, due to their fearing abilities, while applying DoT spells. Their Soul Link talent helps them shrug off damage, which is helpful, even though high-level warlocks have lots of health. The Fel Domination + Master Summoner combo is great for pulling out the pet you need in 0.5 seconds (!!). Also, your felhunter will absolutely destroy mages with their spell debuff eater, resistance to magic, and silence abilities. If you are raiding in PvE, they are not as powerful caster dmg dealers as mages are, but you do recieve some nice passive buffs from your pets if you're deep in Demonology.
