Does anyone know of any superstitions on how to determine the sex of your unborn child? I just found out that I was pregnant yesterday!!! ;o)

hold a crystal,needle or wedding ring on a piece of string over either your tummy or the palm of your hand let it move by itself and if it swings in circles, it is a girl, if it swings from side to side, it is a boy.
another way is if you are carrying all round ( back and front ) it is a girl, but if you are all front, it is a boy.
but whatever it turns out to be, i'm sure you will love them,

Yes! I do know some superstitions, I have a 2 y old and when I was pregnant people would come up to me with their ideas. In the iranian community, it is believed that if you are calm and peaceful during your pregnancy, it will be a boy and that if you are irritable, it will be a girl (yes, this does seem a little mysoginistic...). From tunisians I have heard that when it is a boy your face becomes puffy towards the end, but that if it's a girl, you look more beautiful than usual. More unanimously, it is believed that when the belly is high it is a boy, when low it is a girl.
The best though is to try and feel your baby's energy if you want to figure it out....and in a few months you'll be able to see your litle angel's sex on ultra-sound! Congratulations and Best wishes with your baby

One way is to take your wedding ring, put is on a string and have a (blood kin) family member to hold it in front of your stomach. If the ring starts going in circles then is a girl. If it swings from side to side or back and forth then its a boy.

I don't know really.
They say if it's a boy, he'll sit lower in your abdomen, a girl, up high. A girls' heartbeat is a lot faster than a boys (this is true).
You'll have indegestion/heartburn a lot if the baby has a lot of hair.

take a pin and tie it to a sting then dangle it over your palm if its goes in a circle its a girl and side to side its a boy. Keep doing it until the pin doest move at all and thats how many kids your having

take a medallion that is on a necklace and place it over your stomach. let your hand be still. if it starts moving in a circle, it's a girl. if it starts going up and down, it's a boy. MERELY SUPERSTITION.
