It is prescribed for people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, entercolitis, duodendal ulcer and other conditions doctors feel patients may benefit from its use. Normally is can be called Donnatal Tablets or Levsin or several other names. Each one is used to normally treat irritable bowel syndrome or other symptoms stemming from the digestic tract, tummy, or urninary tract. Its a relaxer thus causing spastic colons or tight tummies to relax. It also works great for people with ulcers.

They are generally used for the symptomatic relief of gastro-intestinal (Chrons disease/Irritable Bowel Syndrome) or Genito Urinary disorders which are characterised by a spasm in the type of muscle known as smooth muscle.
They are basically used as an antispasmodic to relieve pain and discomfort.
The more common name is Buscopan.
