While watching my unofficial HBO through the snow, I caught George Carlin. He was great in the 60's but I have to say that I was disturbed by his routine. The thing about young women dying and what he didn't have access to.

I understand shock value but his routine was sick. I'm no prude. I don't mind raunchy - love Wanda Sikes. But I saw a demented old has-been who has dropped to the lowest form of comedy - if you can call it that. No intelligence associated with his monologue.

Comedians are either funny to me or not. Period. Honestly, I was slack-jawed at the misogynistic, perverted nature of Carlin. He should have stopped performing in the 60's. HBO needs to take him off. Any thoughts?

Don't hate? This answer coming from a female when Carlin is sorry that he doesn't have access to the genitals of young women who die? How do you think he feels about you? Maybe strictly a sex object? While you have compassion for him as a recovering addict, he thinks of you as nothing but an outlet for his penis.
Seriously, the man is disturbed and pathetic.

heard a heckler interupted his set and he had to start at the beginning of the joke to remember it.

Carlin is getting up there, and sometimes he can be a bit TOO cantankerous. But, at the core of it, his humor is very thoughtful. Not everyone agrees with where his thought process takes him. I love him, but I don't totally agree with his views on, say, golf courses, for example.
He was great as the voice of Filmore in CARS, and REALLY great as Rufus in BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE.

Yeh George should retire and get a life. I tried to watch him years ago when I first saw him on HBO, and he pisssed me off so much, I have'nt watched him since.

He used to be funny.
Now he's just a grumpy old man with nothing funny to say anymore.
He's so negative and full of animosity. There's nothing creative about his material anymore. And he acts like he believe's everything he says.
If you've ever heard much of his act, you know he can't really believe all he is saying.
He sold out.
