I think that men look at war as a means to achieve an end, with the focus on the end result.
Women tend to look at the overall results of war the the effects it has on the participants and involved citizens. Women cannot look past the orphaned children or destroyed infrastructure without thinking about the effects it has on survivors or even on the soldiers who are called on to fight.
Men think of soldiers are patriotically doing a chore they volunteered for. Women see fathers (and mothers) separated from their children and the long term effects that has, especially in the terms of a fatality.
Men look at the result of achieving the goal. Women look at the effects reaching that goal takes on the combatants and civilians.

Men are more aggressive than women in general. If the men on our side stop supporting war while the men on the oher side continue to wage war guess where that would leave us.

I agree with the "testosterone" answer, but would also add a humble suggestion for a solution. If every male on the planet ejaculated once a day (however they could manage it) the world might be a less violent place. Some would no doubt still be psycho killers but it might help, so would women in posittions of power and leadership.

Darn! I didn't know the war was a gender thing.I thought it was Republicans for--Democrats against. I learn something new every day.You probably wouldn't look right in a berka anyway,so support our troops.

Women tend to be less violent in nature then men .They seek to protect there children and other children as well .They are victums in Mob acts of violence brought about by male mob members .The weak are prayed upon by the strong and men tend to be stronger then women .
