why would some one shoot them?

The parents rushing to the school in their buggy's was the saddest thing I have ever seen in my life! I have known the Amish all my life they are Good ,Kind ,Plain ,Hardworking, Honest People! If more of us were more like them this world be a much better place. And they make Awesome Apple Butter, and the most beautiful quilts!

Honestly, I think that the nut who shot that Amish kid would have done the same to anyone Amish or otherwise given the excuse.
If someone is going to go off like that, they don't need much of an excuse.

What does anyone who is shot ever do to deserve it? Do principals deserve it? Or 16-year old blond girls? It's a sad and crazy world...don't take it personally. Shootings are senseless and tragic. Why can't people be reasonable enough to walk away? Is it so important to prove a point or take out one's anger by shooting someone? Gangs do it for revenge, spouses do it in anger and jealousy, and sick, random people go into schools and shoot children. It's a fact of life - are you doing anything to change it?

Well, there have certainly been crimes committed by those identifying with the Amish. For example, some cases have come out that girls are forced to marry their uncles and such, are abused, etc. (similar to some of the quasi-Mormon Kingston clan's activities.) There are bad people among us all, unfortunately.

Why did those 2 boys shoot up Columbine? What about the school shooting last week? 9/11? Why did Timothy McVeigh (sorry, spelling!) do what he did?
Nobody really knows, sugar. All we can do is hope and pray for those that witnessed the event, or were wounded during the process.

People like to hate things they don't understand...it is so wrong Amish people keep to themselves and rarely bother anybody...they are very peaceful and independent... i cant explain why someone would wan to shoot another but i know it is wrong..
