hitchhiking, if that doesnt work for you. Greyhound is the cheapest. You can rent a car at 20, but you have to pay like $50 extra a day for being so young.

Im from New Orleans and moved to VA about 5 years ago and I travel back and forth a couple of times a year. I usually take a plane back and forth when I go and it usually is anywhere between $160-$300 depending on the season, how far in advance you book it, etc. Also, SouthWest now flies to VA from NO so you could check with them as well. If you budget is tight and you dont mind a long ride, you can use Greyhound, they will be cheaper.

Hitchhiking would definitely be the cheapest. Now if you were going the other way you could probably sleep with one of your relatives and get there for free.LOL
