I wanted to add that my period in July was more than spotting. I usually have horrible heavy periods but in July I only needed two or three pads.

The first 3 answerers all have it partly right.
Many women do get a small amount of spotting or bleeding a few weeks after conception when the embryo implants itself into the wall of the uterus. This event sometimes will produce a little blood and sometimes not.
Ultrasound tests are not "routine." That is, not every pregnant women should automatically get one since there are (albeit very, very small) risks with the procedure. However, one of the best reasons for getting an ultrasound is to confirm the EGA (estimated gestational age) of the pregnancy (i.e. tell how far along you are) so that a reliable delivery date can be set.
As you wait, you can also ask yourself some questions. If you had morning sickness and it went away, it usually disappears closer to week 14 than to week 10. If you had breast tenderness and it's gone away, this usually happens in the 8-12 week mark. Mood changes, flushing, skin changes, appetite changes are more common in the first 12 weeks and then level off. Putting all of those factors together should be able to get you pretty close even before getting the ultrasound.
If I were a betting person, I'd put my money on a due date of April 2 so that when you see your doctor you'll be 15 weeks exactly. (Time to for routine labs and, in addition, screen for BV, triple screen if you're going to do it, and a urine culture.)
Best wishes!

I agree with the others here. You would go by the June date as your last period. It sounds like the July incident was probably implantation. During implantation, you will still get some cramping and light bleeding, but if all your other periods are as it was in June that good chances are implantation was all it was. I have had 6 pregnancies (first four were miscarriages) so I know a bit about bleeding...unfortunately. Congrats, by the way!

How light? That could have been implantation spotting in July - I had the same thing. So most likely your last period was June 26, but of course your doctor will be able to confirm that, particularly with an ultrasound.

Your last period was the one in June. What happened in July is implantation. Many women have this and think it is a period. It is really the egg attaching to the uterus wall. Most women don't even notice this, but it can be more apparent to others. You are jsut one of them. Tell dr about it, but dont' stress. Have a great pg!

hiya my last period was June I'm due 17 march 07 and I'm now 16weeks pregnant. if all you had was spotting in July id say you may be further along than 10 weeks.
without an ultra sound its hard to tell. they should give you a scan very soon to check your dates if you are unsure.
CONGRATULATIONS any way X X X X

well it is really hard to tell because it looks like that would have been when your period would have started then .but it could have been implantation bleeding but you will have a ultrasound and it will tell you
