I have an older Compaq Presario destop tower. It has 4 USB ports...2 in the back & 2 in the front. I was trying to uninstall a printer and I clicked on the wrong thing in my Device Manager. Anybody have an ideas as to how I can get them back. None of my UBS devices work now...not even my mouse! HELP!

Unfortunately, Windows could not detect my USB ports. I did find an old mouse so that at least I can use a mouse while I try and figure this thing out. I tried the Compaq website (which is now Hewlett Packard) but they didn't have any USB drivers to download. Any other ideas?

you could reinstail the motherboard drivers this should then install the drivers for all its hardware

If you have a green USB/PS2 adapter, you will be able to use your mouse until you can reinstall drivers.

You can go to Compaq website to download drivers. If it's not there google it, there are non-affiliated websites that carry all sorts of drivers.

use a ps2 mouse and turn the computer back in time just before you did the uninstall.. OR go to Device manager and hit re install and use an OS disk if you have it.

you should in elementary words use the dell motive force bypass get it. if you're scratching round for area some thing should be heavily incorrect both with the way you're using your computer, or the computer itself. uninstalling classes not often if ever supplies again sufficient room to make any distinction in any respect.

When Windows reboots, it should detect and reinstall those pieces of hardware automatically. Have you tried rebooting your PC?
