How do I configure it so that both drives appear as "C" drive?

I don't need someone to install it for me, that's a no-brainer. However, there IS a way to configure two hard drives to appear as one. Please don't answer questions if you don't know what you are talking about...

Thanx midi and task. I didn't know they had to be the same size... That kind of puts it out of the question since i have a 160 gb and I'm adding a 250 gb. No biggie, I just thought it would be more convenient for some of the less "computer savvy" people (wife) that use the machine.

Make sure your jumpers are set correctly. The drives must both be the exact same size, ie you can't use an 80GB and a 160GB drive and combine them. RAID drivers aren't included with Windows XP so you must use third party RAID drivers for this task.

When you run the setup from your Windows XP install CD one of the first things it says is to press F3 or something like that to install third party RAID drivers. typically your RAID driver will be on a floppy disk provided by your motherboard manufacturer.

BTW, I agree, it is annoying when people who don't know what they are talking about start answering threads with incorrect information.

Errrrr you can't do that... There should always be a master - slave setting else only 1 hard drive will be detected or none at all.

Master is Drive C:
Slave is Driive D:

That's the way it goes....

I seriously doubt you can.

Just set it up to use like a regular hard drive, and you should be fine.
