California that is...

Which do you prefer? I have lived in both areas and I would have to say I prefer Northern. It is much more calm up here - and it doesn't take me 4 hours to get 30 miles up here either!

I would rather gnaw my arm off than go back to Southern California. Northern California is a gorgeous place to visit - San Francisco is a really nice city, and gorgeous hiking and skiing up there. Really the only place on the West Coast that I could ever live is Seattle.

I would have to say Southern because I have never lived in Northern.

Find a happy median. Where is the line drawn on the map between north and south anyhow? I am from the south, and can tell you that Tennessee looks very different from Florida, and even parts of Mississippi. It just depends on where you are in the north or the south as to which you prefer. I prefer Nashville to St. Louis, New York to Memphis (although I am a Memphian), and New Orleans to Chicago. It all depends on the city and it's people, not the geographical region, because you can't judge a city by its coordinates on a map.

Northern offers beauty calmness and greenery. Southern is traffic and smog but weather that can't be beat.

Northern. Pretty in the Fall, and fewer racist rednecks to deal with.

I've travelled more in the south, but I like both areas. The north is prettier by far.

The west is the best, get in and we'll do the rest.
