individual from coming in and shooting fellow teachers and students, but if the last few months there has been several school shooting in areas of the united states where the population are small. why can't small cities take the same precautions are larger citites?
this is coming from another school shooting that happen today, oct 2, in a small town outside of philadephia , amish country, where in a small one room school, six people so far have been killed and several are in the hospital.
last week, two school were attacked by gun violence?

I believe that smaller cities and towns really aren't familar with that type of violence, and have a "it can't happen to me" attitude.

Larger schools in urban areas can defray security costs because they serve so many students. Communities judge each other according to $ per student. Even if all you do is station a cop at the front door that's $100,000 by the time you pay benefits, equipment, gas etc. That's $100 per student if there are 1,000 kids, but $1,000 per student if there are only 100. If you have $20,000 per student to spend, you can't blow 5% of it on a cop.

They do take the same precautions as most schools in the cities. My kids go to a small school. They have to carry clear backpacks and lunch bags. They are not allowed to wear baggy clothes or big pockets. But people find ways. You are kidding yourself if you think city schools are any safer. No school is very safe.
