You might not be able to prevent the problem altogether, but here are some tips that may help:
• Wash gently with a mild soap or cleanser twice a day, and if you use moisturizer make sure it's oil-free. Don't scrub your face with a washcloth, since scrubbing can make the problem worse. Instead, use your hands to gently wash your face.
• Pat your skin dry rather than rubbing it, which can irritate acne.
• Don't squeeze, rub, or pop your pimples — it'll make the problem worse and could lead to scarring.
• If you wear makeup, use products that are water- (not oil-) based and are labeled "noncomedogenic" or "nonacnegenic," meaning they won't clog your pores and cause breakouts. Be sure to wash off your makeup before going to bed, too.
• Ask you doctor or midwife about using medicated gels or lotions. (If your acne is severe, you may need to see a dermatologist.) A number of over-the-counter and prescription products help clear up acne, but some of the ingredients haven't been well studied in pregnancy — so don't use any acne preparation without your caregiver's okay. It's particularly important to avoid the oral prescription drug isotretinoin (Accutane), which can cause serious birth defects. (Avoid using topical tretinoin-like Retin-A as well.) Prescription antibiotic creams containing erythromycin or clindamycin are perfectly safe, but stay away from those with tetracycline.

Neutrogena Acne Free Body wash works wonders. It is inexpensive, and doesn't dry you out like mad. For the upper back problem, keep your hair off of your skin as much as possible, as the oils from your hair will transfer to your back and complicate matters. Use a poof when you shower, and not a washcloth, you need something that will cleanse your pores more effectively than something soft (washcloth), but also something that won't irritate. Swabbing rubbing alcohol on the affected areas will help, but will harm your skin by drying it out, a follow up swab of with hazel will help there. Take care, and I hope you find something that works well for you! :)

Tell me about it!! The joys of preganancy!! There is nothing that helps--I tried straight rubbing alcohol all over my back and chest and neck twice a day, I tried all kinds of facial masks and all different kinds of soaps and facial lotions...the only thing that slightly helped was a mask called glycolic sulfur mask...dried the hell out of my skin to where my face peeled and peeled and peeled and my skin felt so tight on my back and neck, the next few days was just a little clearer, not enough to dry myself out like that again....there is nothing that helps! Sorry! You are not alone though! It makes shoppingfor maternity clothes a nightmare because you are looking for stuff with high necks and backs...

I had some of the same problems wiht one of my pgs. You could try to put some baby powder with cornstarch on after showers. Make sure it has cornstach as just baby powder can irritate your skin more. Now on your face just try to go natural with minimal makeup. Less is more now and it could help cut down on the break outs. Just think that it is only pg induced and it will fade after delivery. Good luck and enjoy that baby!!

Don't overwash or use too much product. Try to avoid heavy makeup and make sure to cleanse yourself after working out or sweating a lot. I used neutrogena face and body wash and lotion during my pregnancy and it really helped. And no matter what...DONT PICK OR SCRATCH it just makes it worse!!!

Facials. I plan on getting them every 5 to 6 weeks. If you dont have time for that then I would try something mild like cetaphil and always use toner.

horomones, dont you hate them?
I would stay free of foundation, wash body frequently, maybe cheaper soap brand, it will be higher in alcohol content, which will dry the skin.
and diet, stay clear of juice, pop, candy, and choclate.
drink lots of water.
