If you watched the game yesterday, you would have seen him deliberately step on Jones' face. Jeff Fisher needs to bench this jerk for the rest of the season, and fine him alot of money........ is this what football has come to??

Correction: The other player was Gurode, not Jones.

This has no place in the professional sports World!!! This is a outright "assault with battery"....he should do jail-time for this type of action....its inexcusable and totally unprofessional!!! This attack was just that ....a "Attack"....it should be dealt with swiftly and correctly by the NFL and Dallas Cowboys organization!!

I wouldn't say for the rest of the season simply because people deserve a second chance and this guy Haynesworth hasn't been a problem child his entire stay in the NFL which has been about 3 to 4 years so yes I'd suspend him 4 or 5 games but not the season. And yeah, he did offer an apology so...

Now people think the Marcus Vick leg stomp was bad but this was far worst. NFLers don't get suspended 4 the year if they catch a DUI or any other minor off the field incident so....

I think that a$$hole should be suspended and fined. That was absolutely ridiculous. Jones has been having vision trouble b/c of that. If he can do something outside of the NFL he should. But Jones' filing charges would make him look like a punk (which shouldn't matter or shouldn't be the case). I wouldn't care. Haynesworth should really have the book thrown at him for that one.

He will probably be fined a hefty chunk of change and that's about it. I am sure the Player's Union will appeal.
Am I surprised? No.
I believe it was two weeks ago during a college game ( I can't remember who was playing) but one team had a fast return man. He returned one kick 40 yards and after the tackle the opposng player was caught twisting his leg after the play was over. It almost resulted in a game-ending injury for the young man. Funny, I haven't heard the NCAA say a word about that infraction.
The violence in football continues to escalate and the NCAA and NFL pretty much have one finger in their nose and the other up their a** then play switch.

i do agree he should be fined and suspended for like 4 games or something but i dont know about the rest of the season.....like what he did....theres no excuse for that especially when im a big cowboy fan but still these guys are in the heat of the battle and there football players with rage inside them.......sometimes it just comes out in stupid ways........he said in an interview that he regreted doing that.......so i think he had his blood pumping and lost his cool

Anything short of a full-season suspension would be denying justice. What he did is borderline assault and there's no place for something that pathetic in society, let alone the game of football.

The bastard needs to go to jail. If I did that to someone on the street I would. Suspend for one year, no pay and jail time. There is no place in sports or life for that.

Assault is assault, whether you do it on the field or at a shopping mall. He should be tried, and if convicted, jailed. His career should come to an end.

Clearly the fellow is a moron, did it not occur to him that he was being filmed, and being watched by millions?

At the very least, he should be prosecuted for assault...but since he's a "Pro" he'll get a slap on the wrist.
