I have used clorine bleach to remove the stains, but I think I'm damaging the finish. My husband says I drink my tea too slowly. Maybe he's right. I use milk in my tea but no sugar.

My mom gave me an answer I would have never thought, but it works, and gets all the stains out, and gets them so white. It is denture cleansure tablets. She accidentally found out by cleaning her dentures in a tea stained mug that was white on this inside. It is also good for the cups because it is safe for dentures that go in your mouth!

Ok soak them in a paste made from bicarb soda and water for half and hour and you will find they will be brillant white and no damage to the finnish, Don't put bleach anywhere near anything you eat or drink as it can make your system think it is over producung estrogen and you body can stop making the right amounts.

Denture tablets. Seriously. Go get a box of those denture-cleanign tablets and drop one in the mug with water as the box directs, and let it sit for a little while (whatever the box says) and wash as normal. Stains should come out.

I use bleach in my dish water all the time. It takes out the stains and also germs. I love it. I have never had a problem with this either.

Rinse your cup out as soon as your done. You shouldn't use straight bleach all the time. salt and ice will work too you put ice cubes in the cup then salt and shake it around, the salt and ice basically scrape off the stain...works really well in glass coffee pots.

Try soaking in white vinigar. Should cause no harm.
That is also how to clean a coffee maker. By pouring white vinigar in and running though a few times followed by water to wash out the vinigar.

I also use chlorine bleach for such things.

You could try what I use to clean stains from the toilet bowl - denture cleaner. If you buy it @ the Dollar store it's alot cheaper than the supermarket.

Try Oxy Clean in your dishwasher. It's the same powder you use in the washing machine.
