Finally, a question relating to the 2006 FIFA World Cup! Most of the questions here I've seen these days are either irrelevant to football or the World Cup. =)

I'm not sure if that was an attempted kick, but it certainly did look like it when I first watched the headbutt incident. Then again, I remember seeing Zidane jog ahead as if he was going to continue playing in the game. It was only after he turned around that he headbutted Materazzi, so... I wonder if Materazzi expected Zidane to headbutt him?

As for Zidane's clenched fist, it might have been simply instinct. Irritated people usually clench their fists to show their anger, even if they don't intend to punch another person or something.

Yeah, I did noticed that Materazzi tried to Kick Zizou. He did that to Scheva when he knocked Scheva down, then he dove. On his way to the ground, Materazzi added a scorpion kick on Scheva's back.

No, I think the clenched fist is an involuntary posture that you adopt when you're pi**ed after being attacked and is a defensive pose . As for the kick, it's hard to tell because MateRATzi is such an actor, like Harlan Williams aka "The Rocketman", that who knows how a 1,93m man could drop a like fly like that.

Yes,I did notice that though I don't know whether Materazzi's intention was to kick him.
