You must take your hamster to the vet. While the internet can give you information about health problems, your hamster won't get better until it is treated. Do not worry about the money, chances are, it will be affordable, but if you cannot afford a pet and it's medical care, you should not own it. For it's own sake, please get it checked out. Like someone previously mentioned, you can do payment plans and such. Pet insurance is always a good thing. Plus, hamsters are not very tough with health problems. If you do not get the problem fixed, chances are, it won't turn out too well.

Sorr about your hamster. It could be cancer or a tumor. It could be fungus. It might be you should call a vet and ask about it. YES it is very excpencive! They make you take them for an appointment and then pay for the treatment! It could cost you 100 dollars. Call the vet ask what they think it is, and if you want to spend alote on it go ahead. But more than likly they will just make you spend hurndreds and it will it die sonner or later!

I'm sorry, I've never heard of anything like that. I've never had it on any of my hamsters I've ever had... Best thing to do would be to call your vet and describe it to him/her and ask about pricing. See what he/she says....

Good luck!
