I don't like keeping many around because in the end after I read them they collect dust so I like passing them on to others to enjoy.

i have approx 250-300 laying bout the house. sum r mine, sum r dad's m sum are my sis'. ive got about 55-60 in my room. they range from baby books like Two of a Kind from Mary Kate & Ashley and Pokemon books, to my more mature books by James Patterson like my faveorite "Judge and Jury".

Over 300. They range from children's books, cookbooks, leisure reading material ( King, Koontz, Cook, Cussler, etc.), text books from college and reference books. I don't count the periodicals, there are too many!

I have way too many to count. If I had to guess - I would have to say close to 1000. I started out with close to 400 myself - when my husband and I married - he brought with him his massive collection. So now - we've got books everywhere. Not including the ones that are still at my parents' home. Yikes.

At last count, over 1,000. That's counting mine and my parents', although I have about 500 and they have about 250 each.

wow u have lot more than i do. i think i have about 30 or so. im a beginner, not in terms of reading but in terms of collecting. i had to throw away my college books which were of no use to me to make room for my "new" classics collection
