I wondering if in case muslims have to buy women to become thier wives then no chance the poor men will get married.

I am a Muslim but not an expert on this subject. I am aware a 'dowery' must be paid. This doesn't need to be money however, the man can offer to teach his wife something, from the religion to some sort of skill. I think its more of a cultural thing rather than a religious one.
