The answer is more complicated than ownership. Britain has huge influences in the financial market and can change the policies of numerous countries dependant on the favourable outcome for the UK. Big business controls the world not Governments

It doesnt any more own Australia or newzealand ,but it has tons of nations in her common wealth still,also check out the countries that have the union crested in their flags,Britain still however has plenty of connections.

Not enough ENGLAND used to own 1/3 of all the worlds land mass that was bigger than any other empire to excist.
At the moment the common wealth is a collection of a few countries most of which wouldn't be able to survie without the protection of England.
