Yu Yu Hakasho
Salior Moon
Loveless
Fake
Eerie Querie
Gravation
Corrector Yui
Magic Knights Rayeath
Black Cat
One Piece
Shaman King
Cardcaptor Sakura
FLCL
Inu Yasha

On most of these I would suggest reading or watching the Japanese version with subtitles. They're closer to the originals that way.

You could watch Elfen Lied. It's all on YouTube. The manga hasn't come out in English yet, though. Warning: There's some nudity and violence, but nothing too explicit.

for sure, please DO NOT watch dubbing for anime
it will mess up what you thought of their voiced might be and their reactions of doing it is SLOW
so watch animes with subtitles
ok for manga and anime, i advise you to read and watch anything from CLAMP....the best manga-ka you can ever find
examples: xXx Holic, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Cardcaptor, Rayheart Knights, Wish, etcc....
also i agree with full metal alchemist anime and manga
fruits basket, but not the anime (too short and ends oddly)
Ouran High School Host Club manga AND anime cause they both are wonderful and they picked GREAT people to speak for the anime (not dubbed)
Naruto anime and manga but please DO NOT watch the dubbed...-_-
and etc...~

I would have to agree with the first answer. But also, check out naruto, it comes on cartoon network weekdays at 9 pm(I think) and saturdays at 9 pm (new episodes). another one is full metal alchemist (Drama), eureka 7 (action-drama), and bobo-bo bo- bobobo(very good comedy-makes fun of other animes, notably dragonball z). all of these come are on cartoon network and they usually start at 9 pm and usually runs till 2 pm. God bless you.
