In no way to offend anyone,but are upper east side teens really as bitchy and rude as books portray them to be? I really want to know.

You know . . . New York is also a state, not just a big city.
But for your question, I know a girl from there and she's not rich if that's what you mean. I would say she's upper middle class. She's a nice person. And you can't call rich people spoilt . . . People can just afford what they can afford, and often people will spend near or close to the limit they can afford. So just because one girl has 50 skirts and another girl has 20, doesn't mean the girl with 50 skirts is spoilt.

I live in NYC, upper East sider until recently actually, I just moved to the West side.
I'm 17 and if your referring to the book "Gossip Girl", no we are not really that bitchy or rude.
As for spoiled, yes many familys who live here are pretty well off however I wouldn't say spoiled.
