I work in a kitchen evenings after my classes and if anyone has ever cooked for a job, you know how exhausting and hot it gets in the kitchen, not to mention how much hard work it can be (i.e., working through supper rush, clean up, late nights). Plus I work late some nights and I am just having a heck of a time juggling the work and school and I feel like I never see my two young boys at all (ages 3 and 6.)

Does anyone else have any suggestions for other work I can do while going to college? Something part time that is not so exhausting and pays relatively decent, I don't have to be rich while working thru college but still need to put food on the table for my kids. Suggestions appreciated greatly.

With the christmas holidays around the corner, places like your local Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc will all be hiring evening help!
You could even end up getting an employee discount, which might help you buy gifts for your babies! Get out of food service, if at all possible - it's such hard work! I know a lot of hospitals hire folks to work evenings in the emergency room doing intake; you would check in people, get their paperwork & insurance cards, etc. That probably pays better than the other jobs I mentioned & you can sit, too! Or look to see if you have a dr office with night hours near you, Patient First, that sort of thing.
Good luck - best wishes - keep going, no matter what!!!

I was doing the same thing... working full time and going to college full time with a daughter. What worked best for me was working during the day and having a babysitter or day care and taking the night classes. At least in class you can relaxe by sitting down and listening to lectures and getting homework done with-in the week. At least thats how it was at my school. If your school offers night classes try that.

As far as jobs.... try cashiering or even babysitting night or day-it pays good and your with your kids.

Try your local walmart. most are open 24 hours. I am not sure about the pay, but with so many folks working there, it can't be that bad. You can make your own schedule too.

Fully understand.....

I've been there.
Try looking for a job for inbound call customer service rep where the calls come to you. This gives you the opportunity to study inbetween calls as well.... and get assignments done

Good luck

and Good for you
